The overall curriculum at the SGCA is one of systematic progression, with projects from each class building on the lessons and skills learned from the previous class.
Drawing and painting are seen and approached as hand crafts, requiring long term practice and skill development.
The SGCA is also an environment based on collaborative work (a.k.a., “collabs”). Senior students take time to help intermediate students, and intermediate students take time to help beginner students.
This is a place where everyone has a role.
