Mughal Miniature

Linear Perspective 2

This class looks at alternatives to Western perspective in order to build spatial environments within artworks. Artificial perspective is applied using several variations of axonometric projection. Historical theories on perspective are addressed with a particular focus on Eastern methods of representation. Students are encouraged to examine issues and methods of perspective in the context of their own pictorial concerns.
